The summer is slowly but surely approaching us which means that we can dust off our shorts and finally put away our wellies and coats away for 6 months. Thank god! So i thought i would show you what what i would wear on a normal typical summers day going out and doing stuff.
On an everyday basis i’ll wear some shorts and a crop top with sandals or trainers, because i won’t get too hot but it’s still a very versatile look that you can either dress up or keep really casual. I’ve also put in two different tops so you can see how my outfit can change with different items.
White crochet crop top – £6
This white crop top was from amazon and it was a bargain! There is a piece of white material under the crochet to cover your boobs and it’s completely opaque so you don’t have to worry about showing the world your nipples. This crop top also is backless but ties together in a criss cross style using the little hoops at the sides of the top. I really like this top because it’s so cute and elegant and it just makes an outfit seem a lot more interesting.
Grey crop top – £4
I brought this top from boohoo, which is like my favourite online shop right now! It’s just a simple grey small crop top and it has spaghetti straps that are closer to neck so it doesn’t sit right on the top of your shoulders like a normal spaghetti top would, so i would suggest wearing a strapless bra with it. This top is from the boohoo basic collection and it was only £4 so i got it straight away because i didn’t have any simple grey crop tops.
Shorts – £30
I got these shorts from TopShop and they’re my go to in the summer. These are just the right length because they cover your bum but it doesn’t go too far down onto your leg. They’re a light blue washed colour and are made out of the ever so classic denim.
Black sandals – £6
These sandals are from Primark and i’ve had them for a good few years and they are still in really good condition. I wouldn’t say i wear these a lot but i am trying to wear these more in the summer because i never venture out with shoes i just always stick to my trainers. They are surprisingly comfortable and they have a statement strap with plastic ‘jewels’ to jazz them up a bit, a few have fallen off but considering I’ve have these for a while they have stayed on really well.
Jelly shoes – £10
Last but not least these jelly shoes are from new look and i love them! I’ve wanted jelly shoes again forever and i finally got them and i love the fact they have a heel on them. They are a clear plastic with glitter in them and have a white buckle on the side. I love wearing these with my grey bodycon dress and black bomber jacket because they add some cute innocence to a look but also keeps it in between a fancy and a casual outfit.
