7 ways to drink more water!

As most of us know, drinking water is extremely good for us – but not everyone can drink 2 litres of water a day like we can eat 2 boxes of chocolate a day! I try and drink as much water as i can a day, but i tend to drink it all in one go instead of drinking an equal amounts during the day. So I’ve come up with 7 ways to drink more water easily, most of these i use myself as well so i know they work…

Drinking large amounts of water at a time always seems to help me drink more a day because then your taking in a large portion of what you need to drink in one go. you can drink 2, 1 litres cups instead of having to drink 4 500ml bottles.

Whenever i have a litre glass of water i will always drink with a straw,  because if i didn’t i would probably be still drinking my water while in the grave. I don’t know if it’s in my head (I’m pretty sure its not, hopefully) but drinking with straws always makes it easier to consume more liquid than drinking it normally and your not even thinking about having to gulp down the drink either.

 

Have a motivational water bottle

Receiving motivation whether it be from a person or even a water bottle is always a kick starter for you to achieve your goals, so why not get a water bottle that motivates you to drink lots of  water a day! You can get bottles with timings on the back and your supposed to have drunk that much water by the certain time, it sounds confusing when i say it but it’s in the picture on the right.

 

Have a goal

Having a goal to drink a certain amount of water can be extremely useful because you then push yourself to achieve that goal and accomplish it. If your someone who doesn’t drink a lot of water daily don’t go from drinking 250ml a day too 2 litres a day. Build it up gradually so it’s not a massive shock to the system.

 

Add in fruit

People who love fruit but don’t love water as much can add fruit into the water! A lot of people don’t like drinking water because it hasn’t got a strong flavour, but that can all be changed because you can add any fruit to your water to flavour it. You can add strawberries, lemon, pineapple, mango, apple, kiwi, you can add anything! Adding fruits can also provide you with extra benefits that water doesn’t alone.

Having something cute to drink out from is like having cute workout clothes, you always want to wear it and show them off. Getting a cute bottle will motivate you to use it which will mean your drinking more because you want to show off your cool water bottle.

 

Know the benefits of drinking water

Drinking water benefits you and your body so much in many different ways such as…

  • Improves mood
  • Helps digestion
  • Helps weight loss
  • Flushes out toxins
  • Helps clear up skin
  • Keeps you hydrated

These are some of the things water helps with, so if you don’t drink enough water yet i suggest you start now.
