Halloween Baking! | Hallowscream

Who else is obsessed with Baking?

I love celebrating different holidays – christmas, easter, halloween! You can be sure that I will have done a billion different DIYs, baked, decorated  and just changed everything to fit the season!

If you love baking – or you love halloween then you’ll like this blogpost… hopefully! I have been trying new halloween recipes and cute baking ideas, i have picked a few favourites and i cannot wait to share them with you!

if you want to make your own icing, I use this recipe.

1. Halloween-ified gingerbread men

Gingerbread men are so yummy and it’s so fun coming up with different ways to halloween-ify them – you could have zombie, vampire or skeleton gingerbread men!  I used this quick and easy recipe and then decorated it with different coloured icing to make the halloween creature I wanted!

2. Rice Krispie monsters!

you can’t beat the taste of rice krispie cakes, it is one of my favourite treats! i had so much fun making frankenstein ones and weird monster type things! One of my favourite things about these rice krispie cakes is that they are so easy to make and take basically no time at all. you can also be really creative when decorating them and come up with your own new cool ideas! I used this basic recipe and if you want to make the frnakenstein one I just added green food colouring to the mixture before cooking!

3. Halloween-y cupcakes!

Who doesn’t like a good cupcake – especially when it’s chocolatey! There are so many different halloween cupcakes on Pinterest, and honestly I’ve tried most of them this last week. However I think my favourites had to be the skeleton or ghost ones (in the picture) because they were the easiest, tasted the best in the end and they are super cute! But you could also do pumpkin or witch cupcakes with were also really cute! I used this simple chocolate cupcake recipe and this plain cupcake recipe to make these.

4. Halloween cookies!

Let me tell you, I’ve had so much fun decorating halloween cookies this past month! My favourite ones had white icing and decorations on top – the blood splatter cookies were so easy to make and were so yummy! I used this basic cookie recipe to make them and then made the icing (but you can just buy it).

5. Marshmallow ghost brownies

Brownies are my absolute favourite chocolatey snack, so when i found these halloween ghost brownies on pinterest I couldn’t wait to try them out! I used this quick brownie recipe and then I put a marshmallow on top and poured watery icing on top!

Hope you enjoyed this blogpost! make sure to tweet us pictures at sarah_and_ellie if you try any of them out! Also comment if you have any other halloween treats that you love!
